Who We Are

TrustFeed is a review site. People share their thoughts about products, services, and places. Our job is to keep the space safe and open for opinions. We take your privacy seriously. This page tells you what we do with your info, how we use it, and why we keep it. We’re not here to hide things in tiny letters.

What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle:

What We Collect From You

You give us info when you:

This includes:

We don’t collect anything crazy. We don’t care what color your socks are or who your favorite superhero is. Just what we need to run the site.

What We Collect Automatically

Sometimes, stuff comes in without you typing it. That’s automatic, such as your IP address or device type. It could also include browser name or time and date, as well as what pages you visit and how long you stay.

We use this info to make TrustFeed work better. It helps us fix bugs, stop spam, and see what needs improving.

What We Do With Your Info

We use your info to let you post reviews and show your posts to others, as well as keep your account safe. You can also respond to your questions or stop bad behavior (like spam) and send emails (if you say yes).

Most importantly, we don’t sell your data. Some stuff we do is needed to run TrustFeed. Some stuff is to make your experience smoother. You’re free to ask us to stop certain things, and we’ll do what we can.

Sharing With Others

We share your info with a few people.

1. Service Providers

These are people who help us run the site. They may store data, fix servers, or handle emails. They can’t use your info for their own fun.

2. Legal Stuff

If the law comes in, we may have to hand something over. We follow the rules. But we don’t give away extra info. Only what’s required.

3. Mergers or Changes

If we ever sell TrustFeed or join another company, your data may go with it. If that happens, we’ll make sure the new people stick to this policy or better.

Public Posting

When you post a review, others see it. That includes your name (or nickname), photo (if you upload one), and what you write. Keep that in mind before you post.

Reviews are public. Therefore, don’t post private info in them. Don’t mention your phone number, home address, or secret chili recipe. We won’t delete reviews just because someone regrets oversharing.

Emails and Messages

We may send you messages if:

You can also choose to get:

You can unsubscribe at any time. There’s a link in every email.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files. They sit on your device and do helpful things. We use them to keep you logged in and save your settings. It also helps us remember what you clicked and check if someone’s trying to break the site.

Some cookies come from us while others come from our tools (like analytics). You can block them in your browser. But the site might act weird if you do.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights like:

If you ask us, we’ll help you. We’ll answer within 30 days unless something really strange happens. If we can’t do what you ask, we’ll explain why.

Data Storage and Retention

We keep your info as long as needed to run the site, follow the law, fix problems, and protect people. If you delete your account, we’ll clean up what we can. Some things (like public reviews) may stay online.

That’s to protect the open space we’ve built. But we’ll cut your name and photo from them, unless you ask otherwise. We store data in servers in secure places, which means password-protected, updated, and checked.

Protecting Your Info

We use steps to keep your info safe using various methods, such as:

No system is perfect. But we keep our eyes open and act fast if something looks off. If there’s ever a leak or problem, we’ll let you know.

Children's Privacy

TrustFeed isn’t built for kids under 13. We don’t ask them to sign up. We don’t collect their info on purpose.

If we find out a kid has signed up, we’ll delete the account. If you think a child has posted something, let us know. We’ll act quickly. Parents or guardians can contact us at any time.

Changes to This Policy

Policies change sometimes. We’ll post updates on this page. If we make big changes, we’ll let you know by email or pop-up. We suggest checking the policy once in a while. If you keep using TrustFeed after a change, it means you’re okay with it.

Tools From Others We Use

TrustFeed runs with help from outside services. These helpers support things like site traffic, error reports, filters for spam, message delivery, and where we host our website. These services might collect data too. But we don’t just hand them everything. We tell them to treat your information with care and use it only to help us.

We keep a close watch on which tools we use. If any act out of line, we drop them. Some of these tools may place small files, called cookies, on your device. You can block those in your settings if that feels right for you.

What You Control

You’re in charge of a lot here. If you want to change your name or email, you can do that in your settings. If a review no longer feels right, you can edit or remove it. If you don’t want cookies, you can block them. If our emails feel too much, you can turn them off except for the ones we legally must send.

You can also close your account. You can ask us what data we’ve got. You can ask us to fix anything that’s wrong. If you’d like a copy of your data, just tell us. If you don’t want us to use your info anymore, we’ll stop. Some things take time, but we’ll keep you in the loop.

GDPR Rights (For EU Users)

People living in the European Union get extra privacy rights. These include seeing what we’ve collected, fixing errors, removing your data, moving it somewhere else, and telling us how we can or can’t use it. You can also object to the way we handle things. We won’t fight you on that. We’ll help you out.

We don’t make automatic choices based on data alone. Real people make the final call. So, no machine will decide something big about you without a human checking.

CCPA Rights (For California Users)

If you’re in California, you get added control through the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can ask us what personal data we’ve collected in the past twelve months. You can ask us to erase it. You can also tell us you don’t want us selling it though we don’t sell anything like that anyway.

We answer all valid requests within 45 days. You can send a request yourself or have someone do it for you. If someone else helps you, we might ask for proof that they speak for you. We won’t treat you badly for using your rights.

Data Portability

If you want to move your info to a different service, we can give it to you in a simple format, like a spreadsheet or plain file. You can keep your reviews for your own record or use them somewhere else. To protect your data, we’ll first check that it’s really you asking.

Data Deletion

You can ask us to remove all your data. We’ll delete your account, your email, and anything tied directly to you. That includes private messages and internal logs.

Some stuff may need to stay. If the law requires it, we’ll keep it. If a review is public and helps others, we may leave it up unless you ask to hide your name. And if we’re stopping abuse or checking a report, we may need to hang on to bits longer. Still, we’ll explain what we’re keeping and why.

Ads and Promotions

We may show ads at some point. If that happens, we’ll say it clearly. These ads might use basic info, like the kind of device you’re using or your location, to be more useful. We never show your name or contact details to advertisers.

If third-party ad platforms are used, they may use cookies. You can block or limit these in your browser settings. And just to be clear, we don’t sell your data.

Links to Other Sites

Sometimes, TrustFeed will include links that lead to other websites. We can’t control what happens there. Those sites will have their own privacy policies. We suggest you read those if you’re unsure. If you notice something shady on one of those linked sites, feel free to tell us. We’ll take a look and decide what to do next.

Fake Accounts and Abuse

We don’t put up with fake stuff. If we find someone posting false reviews, setting up fake accounts, using hate speech, or stealing from others, we take action fast. We might remove the content or shut down the account.

In serious cases, we may also report them to the right people. We keep internal logs of these actions. They help us spot patterns and stop problems early. These logs are private and stay with us unless we’re required by law to share them.

Data From Others

We may get limited information from outside sources. This might happen if you sign in using another service or link your social media. We don’t get everything—just enough to make sure things work.

If you’ve allowed another site to share your info, we might see it. But you can cut off those links any time. Just unlink the service from your TrustFeed account.

Policy for Review Content

Your reviews are yours. But once you post them on TrustFeed, they become public. Other users, search engines, and partners may see them. We may use these reviews to show examples or highlight good posts.

If you ask to remove a review, we’ll look into it. We may need to keep a backup or log of it even after it’s removed. This helps us handle future reports or fix past mistakes.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If the changes are big, we’ll email you. We’ll explain what’s different in plain words. You can keep using the site or stop. That part is up to you.

If something in the policy doesn’t feel right, let us know. We’ll talk it through. You won’t be left in the dark.

Your Responsibilities

Privacy is a two-way street. We do our part. But you need to help too. Please don’t share your password. Don’t use someone else’s name or post private things in public reviews. Keep your contact details updated. If you think your account has been hacked, tell us quickly.

We’ll always take your safety seriously. And we’ll listen when you speak up.
